Dierks Bentley took to his Twitter last night to display his extremely sorry pair of boots…He’s pretty well known for his infamous boots that are being held together with duct tape. Well, they may be on their way out the door.

Aug. 11, 2009 — Dierks Bentley piled 16 people into the back of a white Chevy pickup he’s owned for 15 years on Tuesday, a heavyweight accomplishment to celebrate a song with a not-so-heavy lyric. “Sideways,” a simple party tune that Dierks currently uses to kick off his concerts, went to No. 1 this summer, and he joined a mass of Music Row associates — including brothers Jim and Brett Beavers — in the parking lot at his publishing company, Sony ATV, to celebrate the accomplishment.

Dierks Bentley may not have been invited to appear at the recent White House Music Series celebrating country music, but he did manage to get quite the Presidential honor: a shout-out by the Commander in Chief himself.
“A lot of people think I’m a city boy, but I do appreciate listening to country music like all Americans,” President Obama told the audience at the White House Wednesday night. “Dierks Bentley called country ‘the best shrink that fifteen bucks can buy.’”
Dierks found out the President spoke about him right before he was about to take the stage at the Opry. “That is so badass,” he Twittered. “Way awesome. To have the president of the United States quote you? It is unreal.”
