“Country’s Night To Rock” On ABC

ABC just confirmed that they will once again air a special, CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock, in an effort to capture the fun of the famed country music festival!  The special will air this year on August 30, from 8 - 11pm.  Don’t worry - we’ll remind you to set your DVR’s!!

Canadian CMAs coming to Vancouver in September

This year’s 2009 Canadian Country Music Awards will be held Sept. 13 in Vancouver, concluding four days of music industry events known as Country Music Week. Country Music Week, held Sept. 10-13, is the annual celebration that brings together the country music industry and its fans for educational seminars, showcases, networking opportunities, awards and musical performances….

CMA Fest Riverfront Line-Up

Slowly but surely, CMA Fest line-up information is being released.   The schedule for the Riverfront stages is out….It’s a GREAT line-up….

Thursday, June 11: Bellamy Brothers, Diamond Rio, Neal McCoy, Heidi Newfield, James Otto, Randy Rogers Band, Ashton Shepherd, Phil Vassar, and Chuck Wicks.

Friday, June 12: John Anderson, Eric Church, Bucky Covington, “The Honky Tonk Tailgate Party” (featuring Trent Willmon, Jeff Bates, Mark Wills), Randy Houser, Oak Ridge Boys, Jamie O’Neal, Aaron Tippin, and Clay Walker.    

Saturday, June 13: Bill Anderson, Keith Anderson, Tracy Byrd, Jason Michael Carroll, Emerson Drive, Lost Trailers, Jo Dee Messina, Lorrie Morgan, and Chris Young.

Sunday, June 14:  Eli Young Band, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Gloriana, Josh Gracin, Jessica Harp, Joey & Rory, Joe Nichols, Collin Raye / Restless Heart, and Darryl Worley.

Some CMT Music Awards Performers Announced

Toby Keith, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, and Rascal Flatts are set to perform on the CMT Music Awards this summer. More artists will be announced soon.

If you’re thinking about attending, don’t forget, tickets go on sale May 2nd at 10am (CT).

The CMT Music Awards will air live on June 17, 2009.

CMT Music Awards Are Gonna Be Huge!

Country music’s biggest stars, including Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift will rock Nashville’s Sommet Center when the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS premieres LIVE on Wednesday, June 17 on CMT and CMT.com. Tickets to the eighth annual fan-voted awards show honoring country music’s elite will go on-sale Saturday, May 2.

Ticket prices start at $25 and will go up to $99 for a ticket package that includes a seat on the red carpet, as well as the main show.  Tickets to the 2009 CMT MUSIC AWARDS at the Sommet Center in Nashville go on sale Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m., CT and are available at the Sommet Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000, online at CMT.com and www.ticketmaster.com. 

If you have not yet voted for the first round of nominees head over to www.cmt.com to vote now. On Tuesday, May 19, CMT will announce the four finalists in each of the categories, except VIDEO OF THE YEAR.
